Stadium Takeout

What a tremendous treat to find Stadium Takeout. Visiting my son & craving an East Coast style cheesesteak sub sandwich or a chopped cheese sandwich and discovered this joint on my search. We walked over together to find a VERY pro Badger decor in addition to a very pleasant & immediate greeting by the owner. He was very helpful & knowledgeable about the menu as expected. We decided on a Donfather (thinly sliced beef & cheese on locally baked fresh soft rolls) & a traditional Philly cheesesteak sandwich with an order of buffalo dry rub wings. A short wait later our wings came out & were crispy on the outside & moist within. Terrific. The last bone hit the basket and our sandwiches were delivered. The cheesesteak was wrapped & served with fries and the Don stacked tall and tantalizing. The Don was a healthy serving. The bites were really satisfying as the meat was tender, the potato roll soft & supple. The cheesesteak emerged from the wrapper to reveal a VERY large sandwich. The Philly was equally satisfying. The fries were a terrific & unexpected surprise as they’re hand cut and REALLY light and crispy. We really enjoyed our visit. My son was really happy to include Stadium Takeout as a new & reliable go to place for him. I recommend a visit without hesitation.

First time stopping and it was delicious! Donfather and fries was a great choice. Definitely a New York/Philly vibe. Look forward to coming back again and sharing with others.

We stopped in after the Badger game for our first time. The food was amazing, both of us got the Italian beef. We shared an order of cheese fries with bacon, also very good. This is probably the best Italian beef I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’ve had a lot. The service was really good as well, very friendly, and polite even after a busy Saturday.

I’d certainly let this is certainly one of the best sandwhich spots in Madison for great Italian beef and Philly cheesesteak! Everything that we ordered is a recommendation! - Italian Beef, with the option to have Ajus sauce in the side. In my opinion this is one of the best ways to have it. - Philly Cheese Steak, with white American cheese was how I had it and probably if not the best one of the best I’ve had. The cheese and meat ratio was on point with a good chunk of mushrooms and onions. - Wings, we had it non breaded which worked really well for the homemade buffalo sauce. This buffalo sauce had a good blend of tangy flavor. - Chicago Dog, I’d certainly say this was just as good as Portillos Chicago :) so a win in my book! - Fries, they hand cut their fries and cooked with some amazing crisps! - Italian Ice, looks like they rotate flavors so we had the cherry and lemon ice, both were fantastic! Overall food was amazing, loved the staff and I can’t wait to go back to try their other items!

TRY THE FRIES! And the Donfather! I came here for a mid-afternoon snack, enticed by the “hand cut fries” sign. They did not disappoint! I don’t normally do dairy or gluten, so much of the menu is off limits... The guy on the next table, however, was practically groaning with pleasure. He had the Donfather, a Philly Italian beef sandwich w/ mozzarella & provolone on, get this, a Stella’s cheese bread bun. Yes, please! (FYI - Chicken parm is also on Stella’s). It looked so good — and he left 0 crumbs. The owner, one of the two brother/co-owners, asked how it was and the guy raved. The guy behind me was well tucked into his sandwich. You guessed it. The Donfather. So I’m giving that a very strong recommendation, as well. They’re now open Mondays and Tuesdays, so you have a friendly, local, delicious “new” place for Mondays — or any day of the week! Don’t hesitate.

We tried stadium takeout! Awesome spot! Anybody would love these Italian beef’s here! The fries were awesome as well.. not salty - add it if you like it.. I had the don father- delish! My wife tried the regular Italian beef’s- that flavor- soo good! Highly recommended! — we will be back!!

Best place in Madison hands down! Food is insanely fresh flavorful and super quick service! Will be back for other sandwiches and appetizers indefinitely!

Really lowkey and chill place to crash and get some amazing food. Tons of entertainment and local Madison memorabilia accompanied by an extensive menu to fulfill any craving you have. Owner is a super chill dude and even though we ordered a bunch of food he also gave us a giant (20) pretzel for free and it was absolutely amazing. New customers for life
